A Church for Charlottenburg

In 1909, the New Apostolic Church built their house of worship in the oldest part of Charlottenburg. Hidden in the backyard garden of a large apartment building in the Wilmersdorfer Straße, this gem of religious identity now shone brightly. The prestigious brick building, with its impressive leadlight windows, opened its doors to worshipers. A religious historical monument and place of spiritual assembly was established in the heart of Charlottenburg.

From the Shadow into the Light

During World War Two, the large residential building located in front of the church was heavily damaged and needed to be torn down in 1977. The church stepped out of the shadow and into the light. Now the magnificent jewel was visible to all. Even today’s hurried passersby can’t help but be mesmerised by the mystique of this architectural treasure.

Asanta

The former place of worship is privately owned since 2007. The building has been extensively restored with profound respect for its history, now featuring high class furnishings and state-of-the-art technology. The new event location ASANTA welcomes its guests to enjoy the unique atmosphere, aura and patina of this very special, exceptional setting.
